Should be a leader who will be able to rise above petty partisan outlooks ( whether minority appeasing or majority appeasing.)
Should not go by the DNA of the person in question.. Should allow the investgating agency and courts to decide on the Innocence of the accused.
Should not be particular about looking trendy or fashionable.. Should be ready to wear the standard khaki uniform for the next 5 years.
Should not have crocodile tears while thinking about "Sadhvi's" or "Other Religious leaders" who gets arrested in connection with the crimes they commit.
Should not be so foolish to announce in live television " 200 NSG commnados have left Delhi @ 10:30 pm and will be taking part in the operation"
Should not be some one "who will send out the most wanted terrorist" outside the prison as a state guest escorted by our External affairs minister
Should not doubt the integrity of some one like Hemant Karkare
Wont see the Naxal problem as "the problem by some misguided youth"
Will see Terrorist as a Terrorist.. Wont go by religion, color, language or nationality..
Wont hesitate hanging a convicted terrorist... ( If he is some one who helps an attack on our parliament.. or some one mastermind the assasination of a former Prime Minister..)

ReplyDeleteThe present Home Minister should be retained in the post. However, his responsibility should be changed. He should be asked to manage the home affairs of Sonia Gandhi.
ReplyDeleteFor managing the internal security of India, create another post / ministry. Minister for Internal Security. Male or female, but should be a middle-aged commando. He / she should work in tandem with the Defence Minister.
